Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting the script:
    Directors analyze the screenplay, understand its narrative and themes, and develop a clear vision for how it will be translated to the screen. 
  • Creative vision:
    Directors establish the film's overall tone, style, and mood, guiding the artistic and dramatic aspects of the production. 
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    Directors work closely with various departments (cinematography, art direction, costume design, etc.) to ensure a cohesive and unified vision. 
  • Casting and Directing Actors:
    Directors participate in the casting process, selecting actors and then guiding their performances on set, ensuring they deliver the desired emotions and portrayals. 
  • Pre-production Planning:
    This includes location scouting, shot planning, and budgeting, as well as hiring key crew members. 
  • Supervising Production:
    Directors oversee filming, ensuring that the production stays on schedule and within budget while maintaining creative control. 
  • Post-production:
    Directors collaborate with editors and other post-production professionals to finalize the film, making final creative decisions on editing, sound, and visual effects. 
  • Budget and Timeline Management:
    Directors are responsible for adhering to the production budget and ensuring the project stays on schedule. 
  • Leadership and Motivation:
    Directors inspire and motivate the cast and crew to deliver their best work, fostering a positive and productive environment on set. 
  • Problem-solving:
    Directors are adept at resolving creative and logistical challenges that arise during the filmmaking process. 

 

Responsibilities


  • Write and edit scripts using Final Draft
  • Attend pre-production meetings as needed
  • Work with production crew to explain or modify scripts
  • Create and modify Final Draft storyboard and Index cards as needed

  • Must Have

  • Be where you're required ON TIME  and Accessible while assigned to a project
  • Flexibility to be on location as scheduled
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Previous script experience

  • Deep understanding of Final Draft
