- Equipment Management:
Assistant Cameramen set up, maintain, and organize camera equipment, including lenses, batteries, and other accessories. - Focus Pulling:
A key responsibility is adjusting the camera's focus to keep subjects sharp as they move within the frame, working closely with the camera operator and cinematographer. - Collaboration:
They work with the camera operator, cinematographer, and other crew members to ensure shots are executed effectively and efficiently. - Preparation and Maintenance:
Before, during, and after filming, they prepare cameras, check equipment for proper functionality, and ensure everything is in good working order. - Support:
They may assist with various tasks, such as setting up lighting, marking actor positions (blocking), and moving equipment.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing storyboard to have an idea shots
- Be at location early and setup
- Connecting producer once on site for any update
- Connecting with lighting crew once on site
